STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE – SCRUBBER UNIT PPM ACTIVITY
OBJECTIVE:
To establish a procedure for Scrubber Unit PPM activity.
POLICY:
Proactively identify, correct, and report Scrubber system defects and damages to reduce down time and improve life of the equipment.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Shift Engineer
PROCEDURE:
· Before activity all PPE’s should available.
· Apply LOTO equipment to the supply source.
· Make sure System is isolated from the main supply.
· Check/clean fan assembly
· Lube fan bearings
· Lube motor bearings
· Check belts & sheaves – adjust as applicable
· Tighten all nuts/bolts/mounting hardware
· Check motor mounts and vibration pads
· Check motor volts/amps
· Inspect and tighten all electrical connections
· Check fan operation
· Check structural integrity of assembly
· At any job motto should be safety first.
· In case of any major problem, inform the Facility Manager immediately.
REVISION GUIDE:
Any change in the systems will need a change in the SOP.
